| Background | Product description: Human Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) is a multimeric glycoprotein, which is involved in binding coaggulaion factor VIII and in adhesion of platelets at sites of vascular damage. In this process the VWF-A3 domain binds to collagen in the vascular matrix. \n\nResidues 1683-1874 of human VWF were cloned, the protein was over-expressed and was purified to homogeneity. The calculated molecular weight of recombinant human VWF-A3 domain is 20.5 kDa. The proteins contains a N-terminal, trombin cleavable, hexahistidine tag. Reference sequences: Swiss-prot P04275 |
