| Background | Product description: The pituitary glycoprotein hormone family includes follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid-stimulating hormone. All of these glycoproteins consist of an identical alpha subunit and a hormone-specific beta subunit that confers biological specificity. This protein is encoded by a fusion of the mature follitropin subunit beta (residues 17 - 130) and glycoprotein hormones alpha chain (residues 24 - 117) linked by a (gggs)4 peptide (Nature, 2005, vol 433, 269-277). It contains a N-terminal Strep-tag. The protein was over-expressed in HEK293EBNA1 cells and purified to homogeneity . The calculated molecular weight of recombinant Danio rerio FSH is 27.9 kDa. Reference sequences: Swiss-prot Q6TCF7 and Q6QX43 |
